Understand workstation netboot and Tiaris Nest appliance media.

Open Settings > Downloads to find the two signed release artifacts used by Tiaris. They have separate purposes and neither is a reusable organization installer ISO.
Workstation netboot bundle
Section titled “Workstation netboot bundle”Ordinary workstations install through a healthy Tiaris Nest on the local network. Nest serves an immutable, organization-neutral signed release bundle containing the kernel, bootstrap initrd, and Nix store image.
Organization, device, and Blueprint information is carried only in a short-lived boot context. Tiaris therefore offers no workstation ISO or USB image to download. Open Computers > Add computers for the installation steps. On the Nest page (Open Nest on the Home Nest card), Delivery > Computer setup files shows whether the shared files are ready; technical identities remain authenticated support data.
See Add computers for the complete approval and disk-selection flow.
Tiaris Nest appliance ISO
Section titled “Tiaris Nest appliance ISO”The Nest appliance ISO is separately signed installation and recovery media for the Nest appliance itself. It is not workstation installer media and cannot install an ordinary computer.
On Home, select Set up Nest on the Nest card and choose Download Nest ISO. Tiaris creates an organization-scoped session, injects its signed activation identity into the verified NixOS appliance ISO, and streams the personalized image to disk. Boot the Nest server with wired Ethernet and Secure Boot turned off. When it connects, complete the one safety check naming the exact disk Nest will erase, then wait while enrollment and service preparation finish automatically.
Choose Add or recover Nest… in the Appliance card to create separate session-provisioned media for another Nest or a recovery. Preserve TIARIS_STATE during recovery unless a full disk erase is intentional.
See Use Tiaris Nest for runtime health and cache operations.
